House Parties

One of the easiest things you can do to further the conversation about race and racism is to host a House Party with the help of one of our SURJ facilitators. We would love the opportunity to help you plan a party in your home where YOU can choose the topic, the people who will come, and the atmosphere of the party. We have a handy toolkit that covers all aspects of planning a house party. We also have a number of discussion guides for different types of parties – educational chats, documentary viewings, book discussion, sign-making, activism & organizing. And if we don’t have a guide on the topic you’re interested in, we can probably make one for you.

Our toolkits and discussion guides are currently only available in our Facebook group. You must join us to host a SURJ LV House Party at this time, although we may make the documents available here in the future. If you aren’t interested in joining the group, but still wish to host a House Party, our national organization has some toolkits available on the resources section of their website.
